Will do: Fantasmic

Okay, there is a show at DHS called Fanstasmic. It plays on Sundays and Thursdays. We are not scheduled to go to DHS on a Sunday or a Thursday for three reasons:

-- The crowds on Fantasmic days are RIDONKULOUS. I want to avoid crowds.
-- You have to wait a couple of hours to get a decent seat (there is standing room only, but...). You have to wait in line before they will let you into the theatre, and then you have to wait in the theatre. I hate waiting for things.
-- The show is only 25 minutes.

However, everyone seems to love this show and it does look good. But I don't know if it is worth it. I have pasted some pictures of the show below as well as a description. We can always change our reservations for the restaurants and go on Sunday if many of you would like to see the show. Keep in mind that there are also fireworks at Epcot and the Magic Kingdom each night.

 The Show
Fantasmic! stars Mickey Mouse and a bevy of classic Disney Characters, and includes over one million gallons of water and 50 costumed performers. Combining explosive pyrotechnics, shimmering laser lights and dazzling dancing water effects with beloved Disney songs and animation, Fantasmic! is a lavish musical extravaganza in sight and sound, overflowing with silly and suspenseful surprises for the entire family.

 The Story
Fantasmic! takes you into the colorful imagination of Mickey Mouse as the Sorcerer's Apprentice in this nighttime musical special effects extravaganza! Join Mickey as he invokes the characters and spirit of such favorite Disney classics as Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Cinderella, Aladdin, Pinocchio, The Lion King, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Dumbo, Tarzan, and more.

 But when the Evil Queen from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs gathers such classic villains as Ursula, Cruella de Vil, Scar, Frollo, Jafar and a larger-than-life Maleficent to turn Mickey's dreams into a nightmare, leave it to Mickey and the power of imagination to save the day.

 Performed Select Nights
Fantasmic! is performed on select nights only. Be sure to check the Times Guide at Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park for schedule and show times. Since Fantasmic! is an outdoor show, it is also subject to cancellation due to inclement weather.

 Please have your entire party together before entering the theater. Seating begins 90 minutes prior to each show, so arrive early to ensure you get a seat. Guests sitting in the first couple of rows may get wet during the performance.

Will Do: Flights of Wonder

Not really a fan of birds-- unless I am eating them, of course.

Several times a day, under a canvas canopy at Asia’s Caravan Stage at the Animal Kingdom, the Flights of Wonder are performed.These 25-minute shows feature more than 20 species of free-flying exotic birds, including Harris hawks, Barbary falcons, macaws, ibis and yellow-naped Amazon parrots.

The performance is centered on young Luke and his quest to the land of his ancestors as he searches for treasure with the help of a wise old Phoenix. Here they will encounter an incredible demonstration of birds of flight as the birds display their natural behaviors and talents. Some of these natural behaviors include swooping, soaring and hunting, as they respond to visual or auditory cues.

Will I go to this show? Sure. But it's a show about birds doesn't really interest me. People give it 4 out of 5 stars and say that it is "surprisingly good" and "better than expected". But still. I don't care about birds. Besides, I was pooped on a bird at Animal Kingdom last year. Why would I seek out that possibility this time around?

If other people have "Flights of Wonder" on their list, I will go-- and I will be happy about it. I will probably even like it. However, it is not a must do. What are your thoughts?
